Duc, a passionate sail man, comes from a village on the bank of historical river of Bach Dang 40 km way from UNESCO World Heritage Halong Bay where classical craftsman ship has been reserved for centuries. Fascinated by the art of classical craftsman ship, Duc took part in family’s work during his child hood with the story raving about his ancestor’s greatest honor to construct a Magnificent Sailing Vessel for regal extravagant cruises and journeys to conquer the sea during the Golden Age Sail. Dream come truth, when he graduated from marine time university in 1998 and established Columbus Cruise Company in Ha Long Bay 8 years later with a collection of classical sailing junks was constructed in his homeland. To inherit a rich tradition from ancestor, Duc’s Family built Santa Maria Cruiser and establish a route to cruise off the beaten track through Bai Tu Long Bay which enjoy evocative ancient history conjuring romantic visions of majestic sailing ships, the golden age of exploration, and fisher folks whose culture and traditions have survived intact for hunded of years. |
